Qualifications to run for ISH office

Requirements for nomination and minimum expectations of Elected Board Members: 

  • Nominee must be ISH Member in good standing for at least one (1) year. 
  • Elected Board Members are expected to participate in email discussions and voting during the year
  • Elected Board Members are expected to assist with the planning of the Annual Spring Meeting 
  • Elected Board Members are required to attend the Annual Board Meeting which is held annually the Wednesday evening before the Annual Spring Meeting

Position Descriptions

President-Chair annual ISH meeting, preside over state society events, represent IL at NSH

Vice-President-Attend ISH meetings, Chair nomination committee, Represent absentee president 

Secretary-Attend ISH meetings, maintain records: membership, meeting, exhibitor

Treasurer-Attend ISH meetings, maintain society financial accounts, provide finance reports

Directors-at-Large-Attend ISH meetings, Assist with planning of state meeting

Elections Deadlines & Details

Elections (electronic) will take place in April and the 2018 BOD will be sworn in at the 2018 Illinois Society for Histotechnologists’ Annual Meeting on May 24 at the awards luncheon
